First impressions are a friendly arrival with a nice welcome. However this is a very interesting place you may or may not like. Its unconventional it that they have several buildings close by that you need to walk down the street too. …
A nice hotel centrally located a short walk from the Amsterdam Centraal train station. A typical Dutch breakfast is provided. We were not billeted in the hotel, but in a spacious apartment across the street. The only trade-off was no elevator, but 2 flights of typical Dutch steep and narrow stairs. We are already used to these, so no problem! We spent the day walking around Amsterdam with a friend, and were a short 5-minute walk and 12-minute train ride to Schipol Airport. A perfect last day and night before departing the Netherlands.
Nice size room and comfortable beds in great location. But room was on 3rd floor with narrow winding staircase and no elevator. If you're not in decent shape you're not gonna be able to get your carry on size luggage up the stairs. Also no AC but luckily temps were cool. I was also overcharged for taxes when I checked in, so be careful on that

In general I don't expect hospitality staff to be nice to me. It's fine if you're indifferent or annoyed by tourists. But don't yell at your guests and make them cry.
We didn't stay at the hotel but we ate at the restaurant. The food and service were excellent and the staff friendly. Location was perfect!
The hotel was right near the main train station, so it was easy to walk to. There are a wide variety of places to eat and shop within walking distance. My room was ready when I got there around 1300. Check in was easy and they had some …
